"Jephthah's Vow: The Martyr" is an oil painting created between 1885 and 1886 by British artist Edwin Long (1829–1891). This work is part of a trilogy that illustrates the biblical narrative of Jephthah from the Old Testament's Book of Judges. The trilogy was commissioned by the fine arts publisher Fairless & Beeforth and first exhibited in 1886 at the Lawrence Gallery, later moving to the Doré Gallery
